One electronically tested platinum ladies custom cast & assembled diamond tennis bracelet with a bright finish. The six and three quarter inch length bracelet features a ribbon of thirty one cushion cut diamonds, terminating in a concealed clasp. Tennis bracelets got their unusual name from an incident involving the U.S. professional tennis player Chris Evert during a tennis match in the 1980's. Evert had been wearing an expensive diamond bracelet, an inline string of individually-set diamonds. Previously these bracelets were known as eternity bracelets. When the clasp snapped during play, she asked the officials to stop the tennis match until the bracelet could be found. Since that day, bracelets featuring an inline string of diamonds have been called tennis bracelets. Identified with markings of "950". Condition is good. Containing: Thirty-One prong set cushion cut diamonds, measuring 6.15 x 5.30 x 2.88mm (depth est.), 3.00.% GTCF approximate total weight of 31 Stones = 27.50ct. Measurements are an average for the group. Graded in the setting. Clarity: VVS-2 to VS-2. Total Weight of Diamonds 27.50ct. Total Weight of Bracelet 40.70 grams. AIG Appraised at $180,000.00.
