One electronically tested 14KT yellow gold ladies cast tanzanite and diamond ring with a bright polish finish. Condition is new, good workmanship. The featured tanzanite is set within tiered diamond bezels supported by a lattice under gallery, completed by a three and one-half millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of "K14". Containing: One prong set triangular modified brilliant cut natural tanzanite, measuring 19.31 x 19.35 x 12.36mm, exact weight 29.67ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, dark, very slightly grayish, violetish blue color, (GIA vB 7/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. GIA Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded loose prior to setting in the GIA Laboratory, Report #6157735278. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company, named the stone Tanzanite. It is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs in gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Sixty-three prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.20 - 2.00 x 1.26mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 63 Stones = 2.23ct. Faint brown secondary color throughout.
